the circle of life...

at times i wonder... why is life like it is? m i doing my two-bits? if i even matter in the larger scheme of things. there's so much i want to do... there's so much i can't. will it make a difference if i continue? should i stop and make no effort...? should i be blue coz i can't do everything that i think there is to be done, or happy to be content? content in d fact that i'm doing what i can. i'm doing what i think will make me & mine happy...
and then, i saw the lion king. it cheered me up. gave me hope. restored my faith. it didn't give me answers. surely, no solutions. but it made me see "the circle of life"
From the day we arrive on the planet
And, blinking, step into the sun
There's more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done
There's far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high
Through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless round
It's the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life
- The Lion King.

it made me feel better. made me feel that there's more to life than i can ever understand. i can't explain why. or what. but then, somethings don't need to be explained. they're magical. because we believe. and i DO.

Hmmm, hope all is fine.

There is this set of dialogues in that movie that kinda somes up how to move ahead ...

(Rafiki whacks Simba on the head with his stick)
Simba: OW! What was that for?
Rafiki: It doesn't matter! It's in the past!
Simba: Yeah, but it still hurts.
Rafiki: Oh, yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or, learn from it.
(Rafiki swings his stick, Simba ducks)
Rafiki: Ha! You see? So now what are you going to do?
Simba: Well first, I'm gonna take your stick.

And yeah, no matter how small you are, everybody on this earth has a part to play, including the small ant that you might unknowingly crample under your feet. You just play your part and move on, the movie will take care of itself :-)

Wow that was such a nice post.I believe we are all here on a purpose,in our own small way we are a part of a big giant puzzle. We just have to figure out how to align ourselves properly to fit into the whole picture.Don't let the blues get to you. There's certainly more to life than we can ever know...but it's a journey of discovery and what's the fun of the journey if it's already known,it's not knowing it that makes it adventurous and fun!By the way that's one of my favorite movies and favorite song, amazing lyrics and sung so beautifully by Elton John.
